ANDREW SMETHERS

Andrew is a former Data Analyst and Team Leader for the Allen County Assessors Office, where he was responsible for appeals, the validation of sales, annual trending, and land studies. As a Certified Tax Representative, Andrew has experience presenting at both the Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals and the Indiana Board of Tax Review. Andrew has developed and taught multiple classes for continuing education credit both at the statewide Assessor Conference and virtually. Prior to his career in appraisal and assessment, Andrew served from 2006-2012 in the Indiana Army National Guard as an Infantryman. Deploying to Iraq in 2008, Andrew achieved the rank of Sergeant during his time in the military.

Andrew is a certified Level III Indiana Assessor-Appraiser. As an active member with International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO), he holds an Assessment Administrative Specialist (AAS) designation and is a certified IAAO Instructor. Majoring in Legal Studies, Andrew earned a B.S. in Public Affairs from Indiana University.
