BRADLEY BERKEMEIER

Vice President, East Central District

Bradley Berkemeier's career in property tax assessment began in his hometown of Rushville, Indiana, over twenty years ago. Hired by the Rush County Assessor as a reassessment deputy, Berkemeier soon became involved in many other aspects of assessment. Bradley worked for the County for about 2 years before joining Nexus Group. Since joining Nexus Group, Bradley has worked in eighteen counties throughout Indiana and has been involved with numerous aspects of assessments across all property classes. Bradley currently manages reassessments in four Indiana counties (~95,000 total parcels). Over the past several years, most of Bradley's work projects have involved commercial and industrial properties, and he has enjoyed the challenging assignments of assessing several mixed use, special purpose, and otherwise unique commercial/industrial properties. He has become a key collaborator with both local and State leaders on property tax issues related to solar farm developments in Indiana. In the past few years, he has developed and taught two State-approved CE webinars on solar farm assessments and presented at the 2021 IAAO international conference.

A certified Level III Indiana Assessor-Appraiser and a candidate for IAAO's AAS designation, Bradley received his B.A. in chemistry from Wabash College and an M.S. in physiology from Indiana University.

Bradley is also a devoted family man and local civic leader. He is married, and he and his wife Stacey have two daughters. He is an elder at his church. He is in his third term as a City Councilman in Rushville and currently serves as Council President. He is a mayoral appointee on the City's Board of Works as well.
