JEFF WUENSCH

Jeff is the former Director of Tax Review for the Indiana State Board of Tax Commissioners, where he conducted the Tax Board’s analysis of assessment practices in Lake County, as well as other ratio and inventory tax studies. In addition, Jeff led the agency’s training efforts on ratio studies and sales disclosure forms. Previously, Jeff served as a researcher for the Citizens Research Council of Michigan and the Indiana Fiscal Policy Institute. Jeff researched all aspects of state and local tax and expenditure policies, with an emphasis on state and local budgets and property tax limitations. Jeff also served as a part-time faculty member at Indiana University (Indianapolis) and Lansing Community College, where he taught undergraduate and graduate courses in public administration and finance. A certified Level III Indiana Assessor-Appraiser, Jeff earned a B.A. from Butler University and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Indiana University. From 2000-2003, Jeff served as a David C. Lincoln Fellow at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Jeff has successfully completed numerous IAAO courses and workshops including 101, 102, 151, 155, 300, 402, 452 and the instructor training workshop.
